Transforming a Garden Room into a Purpose-Built Home Office

Transforming a Garden Room into a Purpose-Built Home Office

This garden room refurbishment was designed to create a calm, functional office space that feels separate from the main house while remaining comfortable year-round. The existing structure was stripped back and reworked to support focused working, with insulation, lighting and layout all carefully considered. The goal was to deliver a space that feels professional and intentional, not improvised.

LVT flooring was laid throughout to provide a durable, low-maintenance base that still adds warmth and texture underfoot. The flooring was installed with clean lines and tight finishes, ensuring it complemented the proportions of the room and supported everyday use. To add depth and character, timber wall panelling was introduced, bringing natural warmth and a sense of structure that helps the room feel grounded and inviting.

The finished space now works as a true home office rather than a repurposed garden building. With its robust flooring, considered detailing and refined finishes, the room supports productivity while still feeling comfortable and well designed. It’s a strong example of how thoughtful materials and careful execution can turn an overlooked space into a valuable part of the home.
